Mag+ is offering a free seminar and paid training sessions in Singapore on 24 − 26 April 2012. They will share their knowledge of tablet publishing and what a number of their partners have created using Mag+.

Mag+ is a young company making massive strides in tablet publishing. It was one of the very first companies to publish a consumer magazine on the iPad in early 2010.

 Day 1: Free Mag+ Seminar, 9:00am - 3:00pm, April 24th

The seminar will demonstrate how the Mag+ platform helps release the creativity in editorial teams to experiment, learn over time, and have an impact on the development of tablet publishing in our markets – without losing money.

Subjects on the agenda:

  • Introduction to the Mag+ concept and roadmap
  • Learn from current Mag+ customer experiences
  • Working in Mag+: The basics in getting started
  • Advanced Mag+: Publishing rich media on Mag+
  • Working with iTunes and Mag+ to publish and sell magazines

Who will benefit: Publishers and Editorial Staff, Ad agencies, Production houses

Day 2-3: Paid Training & Workshops, 9:00am - 5:00pm, April 25-26

“Come with your InDesign files and go home with a mock-up of your magazine on the iPad.”

Subjects to be covered:

  • Introduction to the Mag+ concept and roadmap
  • The Mag+ Tools: How to set up your work environment
  • Working in Mag+: The basics in getting started
  • Advanced Mag+: Publishing rich media on Mag+
  • Producing your first “verticals”
  • Building your App and understanding the process of launching it in the Apple iTunes App Store and/or Android Market.
  • Working with iTunes and Mag+ to publish and sell magazines as a natural part of your ongoing publishing business

Who will benefit:

  • Art Directors or InDesign-skilled editorial staff
  • All with laptops (InDesign CS4-5 and the Mag+ tools installed prior to training)
  • All with iPads (reviewer App installed prior to training)
